I’m honestly often skeptical of zombie films in general, especially when we get a combination of zombies and Christmas, and I’m afraid that this tight 5-minute short by Peter Horn & Jared Marshall didn’t quite deliver for me. The choice to film the entire thing POV — found footage style — reeled me in initially, and it definitely amps up the energy considering you feel like you’re running through the woods with them, but it quickly descends into something not only predictable but fairly muddled. There’s just too much going on and while it seems like it was intentionally geared more towards action and humor rather than any cohesive storyline, it lost me with the cheesiness.
